Presents
1st Friday's Opening Exhibit...
Philosophic ideas, internal and external conflict, the modern landscape of consumerism, design, and the ridiculous are all in play. This event provides the viewer with a sense of instant gratification. It is this feeling of gratification that is manufactured both as a truth and ruse. Jake Yoshida blurs the line between art and craft. Made of modern processes and designed for temporary use, his art is especially suited to reflect the products that are demanded by contemporary American society. The intentional ambiguity of gender, meaning and reference are useful tools for reflecting his view of our shared modern condition.
You are invited to attend SQUARE 101 Gallery's First Friday Exhibits. New emerging artists are featured every first Friday of the month from 6:00 - 9:00 P.M. along with previous artist's work. Meet your favorite artists, mingle with others, and support the arts. All art is for sale. Refreshments provided.
Exhibit continues through November 29th, Saturdays 12pm - 4pm, by appointment, or on-line at www.SQUARE101.com.
